- Mac OS X Installation Notes. This download does not include the Oracle JDK. SQL Developer supports either Oracle JDK 8 or 11. To install and run: - Ensure you have a JDK installed, if not, download here (For 64-bit Intel Macs, download Java for Mac OS X 10.5, Update 1. For the latest version of Mac OS, use the Software Update feature).
- Oracle Database 10g Release 2, Oracle SQL Developer, and Oracle JDeveloper are fully certified on Mac OS X. Turn your Mac into a full-fledged development environment and deploy Xserve-based grids.
There is currently no database software available for free for Mac OS - if you have extended support from Oracle, you can request the 10g media to be mailed out to you - but be aware that the last 10g version certified for Mac OS (10.2.0.4) is already out of support and can only be installed on Leopard.
